Jan specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, helping those individuals struggling with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating behaviors, and body image issues. She also provides therapy for pre- and post- bariatric patients as well as those experiencing problems related to personality disorders, anxiety disorders (including obsessive-compulsive disorder), depression, and other mood disorders.
Training and Experience
Jan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1983. Jan has practiced in inpatient, community mental health, and private practice settings for over 20 years.
Jan works closely with primary care physicians, psychiatrists, and nutritionists to optimize treatment success. Typical modes of therapy include cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, and solution-focused approaches.
