Nicole has experience in the treatment of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, ADHD, interpersonal conflicts, grief and loss, low self-esteem, parenting, stress-management and difficulty managing life transitions.
Training and Experience
Nicole earned her Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater in 2007. She has been working in the field ever since. For three years, she focused on providing in-home intensive psychotherapy to families in many different counties struggling with an assortment of concerns. In 2010, Nicole was trained in EMDR and is a Level-II certified EMDR clinician. She has been utilizing EMDR in her outpatient work since then.
Techniques
Nicole employs various approaches to working with her clients. The approaches are tailored to meet the needs of each individual client. The most common therapy techniques include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), client-centered, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, family systems, psycho-education and mindfulness.
