Treatment Specialties
Nicole specializes in a variety of emotional and behavioral issues. Primary areas of expertise include neurodivergence/ADHD/autism, chronic illness, obsessive-compulsive disorders, anxiety disorders, and LGBTQIA+ issues. She also has experience working with trauma, depression, communication techniques, and stress management.
Training and Experience
Nicole is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her Master of Arts in Counseling degree from Lakeland University in 2022. Nicole has 9 years of experience in a variety of settings including residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient programs with clients experiencing a variety of mental health and behavioral concerns across the lifespan. She has additional training in exposure therapy for anxiety and OCD. As someone who is neurodivergent, chronically ill, and a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Nicole has prioritized gaining additional training and experience in these areas so that she can effectively support other members of these communities.
Techniques
Nicole uses a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques based on the needs of her clients to achieve their goals. Such techniques include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Prolonged Exposure for trauma, mindfulness, problem solving, systems development, motivational interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills, psychoeducation, and self-compassion.
